At Wednesday’s Welcome Reception we’ll kick off the conference with lots of good company and yummy foods to snack on. Immediately preceding the Welcome Reception will be a private reception for new members, first-time attendees and conference guests.

Lunch with Ignite!
Thursday, March 3 - 12:00 - 1:00 pm

Ignite is a style of presentation where participants are given five minutes to speak on a subject, accompanied by 20 slides.  Ignite sessions are quick, exciting and the objective is to make it fun and share something about yourself or something you are passionate about.  You can use your five minutes to talk about your family, a vacation, your job, a hobby, most anything you’d like to share!

We need just a few more volunteers; contact the office and we’ll help you put it together!

Optional Activities

Each of the following activities is optional and not included ln the conference registration fee.

Golf ($140)
Wednesday, March 2 - 6:45 am

Riverwalk Golf Club is distinctive in character but consistent in quality.  Every hole was meticulously designed by both Ted Robinson, Sr. and Jr. in the old style, leaving the terrain completely natural.

This San Diego golf course boasts mature stands of palm, oak and eucalyptus trees framing undulating fairways and manicured greens.  The picturesque water features include four lakes, along with the San Diego River.  While challenging for low handicappers, Riverwalk Golf Club offers multiple tees on each hole, ensuring an enjoyable experience for golfers of all abilities.

Your golf registration fee of $140 includes transportation to the course, shared cart, range balls and a voucher to use in the pro shop or snack bar.  Golfers do not have to register for the conference in order to participate.

Whale Watching Excursion ($85)
Wednesday, March 2 - 8:15 am - 2:30 pm

Each year approximately 20,000 gray whales migrate from the Bering Sea to the lagoons of Baja California on their annual 10,000-mile round trip journey. And off the coast of San Diego is one of the best spots to view this amazing migration

For the whale watching excursion, you’ll board a boat which will take you anywhere from three to twelve miles off the coast to view these magnificent creatures.  Plus, your tour will be guided by naturalists from the Birch Aquarium.

You’ll want to bring warm clothing and your binoculars for this memorable, informative experience.  The registration fee of $85 for the whale watching excursion includes transportation to and from the boat.

Spouse/Guest Lunch ($55)
Thursday, March 3 - 12:15 - 3:30 pm

Lunch at Il Fornaio Coronado will be a great spot to reconnect with old friends or make new ones. Il Fornaio offers preparations Italians have mastered over centuries of making great food, using the freshest ingredients and traditional Italian cooking techniques.

We have booked the outside patio which offers views of Coronado Bay and the downtown San Diego skyline.  After lunch, those interested will have time to window shop in the village of Coronado.  Transportation is included in the $55 registration fee.
