Technology Tips for Distributors

Are you getting the right return on investment for your technology investments (staff, hardware, software)?

What tools do you use to improve communication with employees, customers, and vendors?

This highly interactive session will cover these topics and more as we explore best practices in distribution technology. Added bonus: a demonstration of Microsoft OneNote.

Presented by Giovanni Cespedes, Falcon Fastening Solutions

Talent Management and Recruitment

The key to talent management is understanding the individual motivations, drives, and aptitudes of the person with the talent. This session will show attendees specific tools which will help you recruit the right talent for a position and understand the talents of those already in your organization. Bill Derry of Field and Jim Ruetz of All Integrated Solutions will lead the discussion with examples of how they both use this tool to hire, develop, and retain talent in their organizations. Talent coach Tony Quartaro will be on hand to explain how he has used this process with companies, from small firms to Fortune 500 companies, as well as professional sports teams to help them succeed.

When you register to attend the Executive Summit you will be given a pass key to take the Culture Index survey prior to the Summit. You can have up to 15 additional people in your company use this pass key and take the Culture Index at no charge. This will give you hands-on experience on how the Culture Index works and an immediate take-home value for your business.

The 10 Stages of Corporate Life Cycles

All organizations, like all living organisms, have a life cycle and undergo very predictable and repetitive patterns of behavior as they grow and develop.  Leading an organization through life cycle transitions is not easy, nor obvious.  The same methods that produce success in one stage can create failure in the next.  This session will survey the stages of a corporate life cycle based on the teachings of Dr. Ichak Adizes from his book, Managing Corporate Lifecycles.  The mission of the session is to enlighten executives on recognizing what stage their company is in and to provide strategies to manage and lead organizations through each stage.

Presented by Tim O’Keeffe, G. L. Huyett

Maximizing the Benefits of the Changing Business Environment

The business environment is changing in every respect. This session will address ways to take advantage of the changes as they relate to marketing our companies, utilizing our work space, and enhancing internal communications. We will discuss examples of positive changes that have been made, as well as some ideas which didn’t work well.  The session will be interactive between all participants and attendees will be asked to share changes they have made in their businesses with the group.
